In which body of water is the Belize Barrier Reef situated?

I answered Caribbean. I see now that the south edge of the Gulf is defined by the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico and Cuba. No major islands in the Gulf.

isn't the gulf of Mexico in the Caribbean Sea?
