In World War II, which was the first city to be destroyed by a firestorm?

I live very near to Coventry and apparently it was a beautiful medieval city with photos of old building that were completely destroyed now it's a concrete jungle rebuilt in the fifties with the horrible architecture of that era which is gradually being replaced.
