When did the Carolina parakeet go extinct?

such a shame to lose any animal,bird or fish.

it is sad that humans cause such extinction

Loss of habitat is probably why these cute little birds went extinct. Also, the poisoning of pests in and fertilization of crops has done more harm to some of the beautiful and necessary animals and insects (pollenators like butterflies, honeybees etc) that maintain the planet!

Most of not all extinctions are caused by human beings, how very sad!

Some species of people should be extinct...Sorry,not sorry. An Animals Love is unconditionl...Not always the case with some people in this place and time.

Humans has dominion over animal and should carefully manage and treat animals humanely, whether for food or livelihood. Don’t look forward for animal love instead of human love. One does not have to work for animals love just feed them but for humans affection there is required effort and humility. ! ! !

Did no one else notice that the picture is clearly not of the Carolina Parakeet. They didn't have this quality of photography in 1939 when the species was declared extinct, much less in 1918 when the last known one died.
