RushMama2112, I’ve done it, and if I could recommend anything I’d say skip Siberia up until Irkutsk so you can go and see Lake Baikal. Does mean you’ll be on the train for a good number of days but there is not a lot to do in cities like Yekaterinburg.
Also start in St Petersburg rather than Moscow! St Petersburg is a gem that shouldn’t be missed!

ManCity, Ipatiev House (where the Romanovs were assassinated) was actually demolished in 1977 as it had become something of a shrine. There is a church on the site now.
