In the 70s, I used to collect the paper golly tokens off the back of Robertson's jam jars and when I had 10, I would pop them into an envelope and send them to the company and I could either choose a gollywog brooch or a gollywog playing an instrument until I owned the full set.

my daughters had dolls of several skin colours. A golliwog should be a symbol of anti-racism rather than the opposite.
