An oenophile is a connoisseur of what?

My husband enjoys making wine, but alas, he also suffers from kidney problems. So, it is mainly up to me to make sure there is space left in the wine cellar for the new wine to age. The things a loving wife does for her husband.

I am a novice oenophile as I only enjoy sweet dessert wines, old tawny ports and occasional sherry. I have only tasted a couple of red wines that I enjoyed, unfortunately they were expensive and were bought by a dinner guest.
