Player 1500cc, My family are Hungarians. My favorite story about my family was about my great-aunt who got angry with her husband as he was making fun of her cooking. She dumped a whole pot of hot chicken paprikash over his head! He never made fun of her cooking again!

Also Erős Pista (strong Stephen) and Édes Anna (sweet Anne) spices are often used in dishes, especially recommended in the gulyás (goulash)! ☺️

I had a Hungarian soccer (futbol) coach in 1974 named Gabe (Gabor) Lovy. He was a coworker of my mom who in 1970 told her I should be playing REAL football, not the Americanized version. He was an outstanding coach, our "club" team wasn't so successful. It was the second year of club teams rather than AYSO. Club soccer was created to raise the level of competition of play - consisting of "all stars" rather than people pushed by parents to play.
