I spent 2 days there in late December taking advantage of Iceland Air's was astonished at how awesome it is.

Can't edit when accidently hitting ok??!! Geesh. was going to say the airline lets you stay for up to 7 days without extra charge on your way to Europe. Had I known it's so awesome, would have stayed longer.
