Lunarsea, I also googled images of them and I agree with Nick, I don't really think they look anything like the photo here so I think they completely changed it to fool people. They may have a similar shape but that's about all there is to it, otherwise they look completely different.

Mick, I googled "medusagyne tree photos" and they actually look pretty much like that. Not blue, though.
