tex, I've A negative and don't get bit much! Thought at first it was all the medication I was taking after a severe accident but I haven't taken that medication combo since 2021 and still don't get bitten! Both kids, grown, are also A-. No bites. BF is type O and gets bitten a lot! Never realized they bit by blood type! The Real Reason! (:

It’s been scientifically proven it has nothing to do with blood type. It has to do with our gut flora. Every blood type can be ‘bitten’ depending on what we consume.

LolliNannaPop, they can sense when someone is not a native of their environment, so they tend to bite people who are on holiday alot more. I used to live in Texas and the mosquitoes there were the size of dogs. After a few years they don't get as hungry for your blood, but when my grandparents from the northwest would come visit they would practically devour my grandma.

tex, My husband is A +, and was bitten a lot, when we were on holiday in Canada..also, horse flies seemed to prefer his blood, when we went to a friend's farm there!
