In Supai, Arizona mail is delivered by which of these means?

There is quite a bit of info left out of this explanation, not only mail is delivered by the mules but produce, frozen foods and dry goods as well. I worked for a company that delivered these items to the Peach Springs Arizona post office on Route 66 every Wednesday to be taken down by mule train to the people who lived at the bottom of the Canyon. This post office has a walk in refrigerator and freezer to keep the perishables fresh before the journey takes place. Very interesting process!

It is one of the most overlooked professions. The job of a Mail Carrier is a very physical and mental job to have. The Post Master of the US along with Management overwork their employees, and they don’t get any bonuses and incentives like the Post Master Management does.

strangiato65, The postmark for Supai is a mule train. Very unique. I am an Arizonan, but live in Prescott, another fascinating area.

My son used to deliver Mail to the bottom of the canyon at one time. He also use to work at Hill Top selling feed and other items. I have to say, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. The color of the water is the most majestic color of blue I have ever seen.!!!

Very interesting! I've been to the Grand Canyon a few times and never even heard of it. Most likely it's deliberate.

ABBAsDtr, I'm not sure about the mental part of it. My mailman can't figure out that, instead of folding my calendars in half and ramming them in the box sideways, he could stand them on end and keep them in perfect condition.

Player 18011402, thx for your comment about Northwest Angle. I googled it. Most northern part of the US. It sounds wild and pristine. Water and woods. I would love to visit that whole area. I think the population is about 200.

strangiato65, and they have zero telephone, cable, internet service!

mule trains are also the primary means of transporting goods to and from the phantom ranch in the Grand Canyon. the mill train trail is also about 8 Miles and is a very difficult hike. I know because I did it with three friends.
