Sometimes a person can have multiple TIA's and still suffer damage. I know because my dad had them before he died.

leeb, no need to be scared, they don't tell you how long you can live after a TIA, because most take better care of themselves after a TIA, for example, change in diet, exercise, and change of medication and checking your blood pressure at home more often. my one and only TIA occured in 2013, and no s/s of a stroke since then, of course I made positive lifestyle changes mentioned above.

Pretty sure I had one last weekend. I've had them before but nothing more they can do for me, I'm already on everything they'd prescribe. smh

leeb, my Mom had a TIA at age 80. They found an irregular heart beat. She was put on a Blood Thinner and she lived to 88 1/2 years old.

My dad had them very commonly in the 80s and went on to have a more severe stroke in the 90s. Eventually he had a double stroke in 2016 which was not his main cause of death. However, the double stroke did cause loss of multiple physical and mental functions.

FloweringDeclaration, had one last October. I am middle age, it was brought on by severe dehydration and very low sodium levels. Fully recovered, but it was a work in progress over the following 7 months....
