What type of food can never be frozen?
Correct answer: Lettuce

nurseynan
Didn't think cucumber freezes either. I had one that got stuck to the back of fridge and froze there, then once defrosted turned to mush.

Xalver
I would agree that Cucumbers don't freeze well either... but lettuce certainly turns out worse.

Eccles
poor question. Lettuce can and will freeze (high water content). Should ask which cannot be frozen as a preservative method.

Cucumbers don’t freeze either!

wanajob
nurseynan, but cucumbers can be pickled and canned.

DSDA
Iwonder, at least you can still use frozen tomatoes in soups and sauces. And after being defrosted, skins are easily removed without blanching.

Pessinger,
But who cooks lettuce?
Late mother in law used to freeze lettuce . Then dunk it in hot water to thaw it .
We used to always say we had already eaten

Iwonder
nurseynan, lol how funny because I had tomatoes that got left at the back of the fridge recently and they froze too, I found out there is a chill stream at the back of fridges !

Emma, Frozen chips?

Pessinger
Emma, all will turn to mush if you unfreeze them. You are supposed to cook them frozen.
