Who was Pablo Picasso?

Recall how excited the people of Chicago were when he was commissioned to create a sculpture for the new Civic Center plaza. For me, that work will always be the most famous Picasso.

During my childhood, I used to think Picasso belonged in the 17th century ... and why I thought that, I don't know.
