How many hair follicles does an average person have on their head?

What I want to know is: who counted?

Tina M., I questioned that fact too. Unfortunately, I'm a Caucasian with a family history of low density hair, myself included. Fine hair and not much of it 😒 At least my daughter inherited her father's lovely Polynesian hair. My sons, sadly, have inherited mine.

when I was a kid I thought my hair is million if I count it

Strange because all my female Caucasian friends don't have as much hair as I do. Of course, now that I'm older, my density is not as great, but neither are my friends'.
