Urbanmythos IS CORRECT! The willow bark has the natural chemical that a scientist and the Bayer corporation learned to make a synthetic copy and called it asprin. You cannot patent nature, so in order to brand it and make money you have to learn the chemical makeup and make it synthetically to profit. I take wi.low bark instead of aspirin for aches, the nature form offe4s other great benefits, like antioxidants, that you will not get from a synthetic chemical.

You see they didn't tell the name of the tree. We are being robbed by the big pharma companies. They'd rather sell man made chemicals that cause more damage to sell more pills! I'm going to research this as a natural pain remedy.

big pharma would totally disagree with you. unfortunately they can't stay wealthy if everyone stops taking their prescribed poison and switch to a safe natural supplement with not as many side effects. luckily big pharma has poisons to help relieve any new side effects that may come up with any of the prescription drugs that they manufacture hahaha : )

Ironically, with all the people howling about it "upsets my stomach", Aspirin is a vastly safer drug than Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen, both of which can attack your liver and kidneys even in the prescribed doses !! All doctors push them today too. I don't take Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen and don't have them in my house !!

I knew the answer cuz of the Clan of the Cave Bear series. It’s been quite a while since I last read them, so I don’t recall which specific book this info was in. But I read them numerous times when I was younger. The first three are especially good. Long live Ayla the Medicine Woman!
