The Sydney funnel-web spider is endemic to which continent?

SusieQ1477, no one has died from a funnel-web bite since the anti-venom was created in 1981. Plus only 10% of people bitten have a significant reaction to the venom. Honey bees are vastly more likely to give you any problem.

I know Australia is beautiful, but because of all the venomous creatures, I'm hesitant to visit.

This spider can bite through a human toenail.

At least they spelt 'Sydney' correct this time, not 'Sidney' as in some previous questions.

They are commonly found as far as Maitland now, 2.5hrs drive from Sydney, even half hour further near Cessnock.

Mother Nature has certainly produced some beautiful & sometimes deadly creatures.
