NicPic, Entirely agree, our constitution and laws are written in it with, by the way , correct Oxford dictionary spelling (the USA is the only English speaking nation that has it's own version of spelling) and our Government spends millions each year on lessons for new migrants. If you're going to ask a question about a country from which you have numerous participants, at least get a native to write the explanation and it might actually then be correct.

Absolute rubbish. Australians are considered "native English speakers" furthermore, it is the principal language taught in schools and used daily in normal life. Our constitution is written in English

You guys really needed to search Google to verify it (the facts) before commenting. Literally more than half of people got this correct and I bet that the people who said "Australia's official language is English" is spreading rumours in a way like similar to "Earth is flat". You seriously really need to do some fact-checking. Otherwise, this app/game is not a quiz or else the game would not be "Quizzland"

Australia legally has no official language. However, English is by far the most commonly spoken and has been entrenched as the de facto national language since European settlement.[1] Australian English is a major variety of the English language with a distinctive pronunciation and lexicon,[2] and differs slightly from other varieties of English in grammar and spelling.[3] General Australian serves as the standard dialect.
