Trisha,
“Never mind” is just a consoling saying used by people schooled in British English. It’s not intended to be offensive. The equivalent in your vernacular might be “Oh well” or “It’s OK” or whatever you use in your region. Someone once said to me, “Better than a poke in the eye with a rusty nail” which instantly cheered me up.

It's better than when it tells me to "Take it easy" when I make a mistake in a contest.

Trisha
When I make a mistake I don’t think it’s right to have the game tell me “never mind “
