The 1977 'Granville Train Disaster' occurred in which Australian state?

was living in Sydney at the time, not far from Granville. Was so sad. We are so lucky to have very few major disasters. But it is devastating when we do.

I was a young bloke then travelling to work on the train before this tragic event. How fate and being in wrong place at the wrong time decides life and death.

My boyfriend of years ago, a railway worker, told me that his workmate was on the train. The workmates wife was sitting next to him and was killed. He survived without a scratch.

Is "splendid" an appropriate congratulatory term in light of the disaster that happened that day? 😳 😢
