That is just the beginning of all the interesting art here at DIA. Inside the terminal, the art and sculpture just gets more odd and full of conspiracy theories!

Too bad that you didn't post a picture...it looks hideously demonic! And after knowing it's history, it's just downright creepy!

Danielle, I have never heard of even one person liking it. I've seen it many times and groan each time. A lot of people thought he was being punished for going millions over budget and was like, 3 years late at the time of his death.

The comments made me curious, so I looked up an image. It is pretty hideous, and knowing that it killed a man...No wonder Denver Airport has the reputation it does--it starts at the front door.

PurpleNoni007, Sounds creepy looking. Like most so called public "Art" in recent decades. They are more disturbing than elevating to the senses.

Just looked it up - the red eyes DO make it look demonic. Great, but creepy sculpture.

mimi, No boo the statue of Bluecifer was inspired by a statue outside the UO named Mustang. This particular one (Bluecifer) was is on display at the Denver airport and the artist went considerably over budget trying to replicate the Mustang. i doubt you will ever see this explanation.....but in case anyone else misunderstood that part, here ya go

I looked it up out of curiosity and I agree, it is hideous! I don’t remember seeing it at the Denver airport though. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Denver though.
