Not a fan of his world views but his chops as a martial artist are amazing. He was Karate (basically kick boxing) champion and undefeated. Not all KO's but solid wins. Used to be on Wide World of Sports in the 70's often. Third degree black belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu, a few other black belts. By the time MMA got going he was a bit old. Insert a young Norris into today's game after a year or so he'd be in the title talk. He earned all the respect those "How tough is Chuck Norris" one liners gave him.

I met him at book signing in the 80s.. he is such a positive person.
