Who mass-produced the first chocolate bar?

As a child, I remember the Fry's 5 boys bar of chocolate. It had the faces of 5 boys all with a different expression on their faces. My grandparents used to buy them for my sister and I when we used to go visit them. They also bought us Bazooka bubble gum which was wrapped in paper with a comic strip inside it
