Rubâ'i, literally "(something) consisting of four (parts)", is a complete poem in four lines that originated in Arabic poetry, and was later borrowed by Farsi and inherited by Urdu. In fact, two of the greatest rubâ'i poets of all time, Mîr Anîs and Mîrza Dabîr, wrote in Urdu.
