Which of these is a large animal in the deer family?

When I went camping, a few years ago, in Northern Ontario. A ranger warned us that during mating season, they are more dangerous than even grizzly bears. They are really big and strong animals and best avoided at all costs during that time of year.

I saw video footage once of a man who got a little too close to a moose. He was stomped to death in just a few seconds.
