Rubbish ! Virtually none of the pollution and absolutely no plastics can be placed at the foo of the Industrial Revolution. At worst it was powered by some coal but most pollution and all plastics come from oil . The exploitation of oil did not really start until the end of the 19th century, about 200 years later.
