Which are the basic ingredients in Alfredo sauce?

This is, famously, incorrect. traditional Al Fredo is just butter and cheese. No cream. I love teasing Italians about their staunch stance on cuisine, as pasta was invented by the Chinese and tomatoes come from the Americas so neither are their right to gatekeep, but traditional Alfredo has no cream.
