My grandmother, used to make this dish for me as a child but I always thought of it as a dessert rather than a remedy. Fond memories :)

Egg seems an odd choice for a remedy. Especially for sore throat.... I’ll stick with honey and lemon, and ice water. 😄

I learned to make these as a child in Denmark as a treat. and have made them the odd time for my kids in Canada. Not knowing an English name, we always call it an "Egg Thingie"

I have never heard of the name of it before. It's not a name used in Britain as far as I know.

Looks a lot like egg nog! love egg nog! hate that it's only seasonal! but it's around the corner for it to come back! because! they usually start putting it up back on the shelves! in early November! to later January so! can't wait! just a couple of more months!

we used to make it as a little treat when I was growing up in Lithuania:) I know it as gogl mogl. one of our quick and simple desert when eating raw eggs was normal :)
