Player Say what!?
After reading the book, the movie was disappointing. Steven King was upset at the changes they made without consulting him. As a result, he writes the screenplays now.

I love Stephen King. I've read all his books. and watch the movies with the same title. I find his books are much more descriptive than the movies could ever make. the books are always better.

Player Say what!?, the TV miniseries hewed closely to the book. I like it better. Steven Weber did a better job at showing the degrading of Jack's personality, IMO.
