It seems to work, sometimes.
I had one cataract removed three weeks ago.
It's amazing how much better my sight is in that eye now.
I'm having the other one removed in about two weeks, can't wait.

I'm nearsighted (shortsighted) and my husband is farsighted. We make a good couple helping each other out since I see what he doesn't from close and he sees what I can't from far.

squinting also creates a smaller opening/aperture so there is greater depth of field.

Cookie Bean & baymax, Not "everyone" does. According to a friend, people who are blind do not squint & he should know, because he is.

baymax
Cookie Bean, no they don't, babies don't.

I should known this, cos I was once very short-sighted in fact I couldn't see anything further than my own hand... it was that bad, and I couldn't even do my x stitch without it being at least 2 inches away from me, thank goodness for glasses.... they helped a bit!
