What colour shirt did the title character always wear in the TV sitcom "Gilligan's Island"?

I LOVED watching Gilligan's Island re-runs when I got home from school in the early 70's!

Always loved watching this show right after school. It was a fun show that is now a classic. Unfortunately, Dawn Wells, "Maryanne" died at the end of 2020. She was 82. Now only "Ginger" is left.

Only the Skipper, Gillian and the Professor stayed in the same clothing. The rest of the crew had many clothing changes. So many clothing changes that it was way to hard to believe that they brought that many clothes on a 3 hour boat ride??🧐. But I let that slide because I enjoyed the show as a child. It was one of my favorite shows growing up. The actors put a lot of work into that show. I believe I heard they did not earn much? Also earned nothing on the reruns. Which they deserved!!

When the show ran, we had a black and white set. I thought Gilligan wore a blue shirt. I was shocked to see it was red the first time I saw it in color.

Laurie, a lot of shows from that time period didn't have many episodes but yet they were favorites and remain cult classic like the munsters and the Addam family
