Who was the mother of Marie Antoinette?
Correct answer: Maria Theresa of Austria

What is the point in writing the French for "Louis Sixteenth" - i.e. "Louis Seize" - in an otherwise English article? It just makes it strange to read and possibly confusing for anyone who doesn't know any French.

The whole explanation is flawed and feels like a poorly researched school project.
Firstly, as Arohanui said, she was the dauphine not dauphin. Secondly, she had four children; the first was born in 1778 before Maria Theresa died and survived until 1851. Thirdly, Louis is referenced as both XVI (correct) and XIV (wrong). Lastly the "let them eat cake" comment is understood to be apocryphal and even when first published was not ascribed to Marie Antoinette.
