I had white-blonde hair as a child but it turned 2-tone strawberry blonde as I got older. I have the recessive red-gene &, like my mum, can't colour my hair because it throws the red. No matter what colour I use it goes red! There's Scottish on both sides of the family so I guess that's where it come from (although I'm born & bred Aussie).
