sooz, the Mossad team that captured Eichmann learned that Josef Mengele was also in Buenos Aires and would have captured him also, but it wouldn't have been practical in the short window of time available. Unfortunately Mengele lived out his life a free thing, even practicing medicine under his own name (!).
