When The Sound of Music hit my father’s cinema in Ohio in 1965, it had a straight run for 2 years and 5 days. The theatre showcased one of Julie Andrews wardrobe dresses during the run. My sister and I grew up on this movie and are loyal fans. There’s nothing like the old cinema memories complete with popcorn and a drink. Magic!

Fiddler on the Roof is about a father coming to terms with his children wanting a better way of life than the strict ways of the Jews who had to live in the ghettos and the frequent impulsive attacks on their homes by neighbors who hated them. Christmas is about love and kindness, not people doing violence against people who don't have the same religious beliefs as you.
