My mom grows this plant but i never knew what it is called in English. Kids eat it ripe. But we make pickle of it.

Blacktulip23, I grew up with a tamarillo tree, two feijoas and a passion fruit vine. Tamarindo have similarity to the other two fruits. ours were dark and acid but we used to cut them in half and sprinkle sugar. Let it soak and yum yum.
