In 1974, the Pointer Sisters released their second album, "That's A Plenty." The first song, "Fairy Tale," is a great country song that was a surprise hit. Anita and Bonnie Pointer won a Grammy award for the song, becoming the first black female group to win in the Country category. They were invited to the Grand Ole Opry to sing. When the audience realized they were black, there were racist rumblings, but after they sang "Fairy Tale," the people loved it, and the Sisters had to sing it three times before the audience would let them go. It's a really good sing-along song. The album version is best.

I saw them in concert back in the late 80's. They were great. They were very high energy. The outfits very skimpy but their bodies were great.
