In which country were silk clothes first made?

Love the feel of silk.

They tried to set up silk industry in South Africa, but it failed because they put the cart before the horse. Got the worms in, but only planted the mulberry trees much later

Even in the 1980s, silk clothing was reasonably priced. Not anymore. I wish I had keep mine!
