They are truly amazing Mammals. Animals are more intelligent than Humans. They exist thankfully, bless them, on a higher frequency, so imagine how terrible it must be for the unfortunate masses of animals killed in insane abattoirs for us to feed our faces! It's not even done humanly!!! At least do it humanly ffs. Sick.
Animals deserve far more respect than a lot of them get.

It's not just in east Asia, there are cultures around the world that still kill and eat dolphins (the porpoise, not the fish).
The Faroe Islands (by Norway) herd them into bays with boats then stab them in the spine.
In Peru, it's illegal but large numbers are killed and eaten, plus around 10,000 are illegally killed for shark bait.
The Solomon Islands (Oceania) they are eaten and their teeth used to make jewelry & as currency.
The Japanese Taiji hunt still occurs but the meat may no longer be bought or sold and Japanese aquariums refuse to purchase the live dolphins too.

If dolphins sense that a shark is around, they'll try 2 communicate that 2 u. Also, they will encourage u 2 get the heck outta there, as seen on Jaws 3. They will stick themselves between the shark and u. Gotta love dolphins, man!!
