How long does it take sunlight to travel from the Sun to the Earth, on average?
Correct answer: 8 minutes, 20 seconds

Player #25874027, This is a really good question. The light will bounce around but each time it bounces some of it is absorbed into the walls. After several reflections it is completely absorbed. In space there is nothing (or at least very little) to absorb the light.

Remember kids, 186,000 miles per second is more than a good idea. It's the law.

So , light travels from suns that we see millions of years later .
If I am in an inside room with a closed door and I turn off the light , where does it go? It should continue bouncing around until I open the door so it can escape.
