What do the stripes represent on the national flag of the United States?

There's been talk recently of changing our flag. NO! There is nothing on the flag itself that "needs" to be changed. Back Off! Find something else to complain about! This is our (every American) flag, this is our land, these are our people. Honor. Stand.

The colors also stand as follow. Red for the blood that was shed, white for purity of heart, and blue for the courage and bravery.
