All you have to do is sing the song written by Bobby Troup, with covers by Nat King Cole, The Rolling Stones, Asleep at the Wheel, Depeche Mode, and others. “Get our kicks on Route 66”.

The picture shown is of Cool Springs Arizona. It used to be a destination of mine almost every weekend, just for the ride.

I thought it was from San Bernardino and Chicago. I'd love to travel it one day...

I'm visiting Oklahoma in early May and am planning on seeing part of historic Route 66 while there. The Blue Whale and Totem Poles are both close to where I'll be.

Some online maps show Rt 66, but it's hard to be a purist. Some of it is in disrepair. Parts of it have moved. Some sections are gone. And it begins in downtown Chicago. Not a good idea during rush hour.
I would highly recommend riding as much of it as you can. Many iconic stops and great museums.

Been there, done that, AND bought the t-shirt. I’m from Texas.
