Which sport was once known as "kitten ball"?

Softballs hurt. When I was a kid, this guy I knew got beamed with one, fell backward, down a forty foot hill, and rolled into oncoming traffic. It was hilarious! But, it hurt. He's a city consultant for the parks department now.

I would love to see a women’s pro baseball league. They don’t need a slower heavier ball or a deader bat. Leave softball for old beer bellies.
