In which country do female divers (haenyeo) who harvest seafood from the ocean live?

If I remember correctly, from a documentary I once saw, they dive with very rudimentary equipment and no air tanks, just holding their breath, to many meters of depth in sometimes very treacherous conditions for long periods of time. Amazingly courageous women.

Similar to the Japanese Ama who dove for pearls.

In Sulo, Philippines, children are trained for deep sea pearl diving.
