Which of these is examined during mammography?

We in radiography are way Beyond 'investigating' tomosynthesis ("3D")- it's SOP for facilities in California. It was developed to image dense breast tissue (not 'big', Size ≠ density! ) NOT all women need 3D mammo imaging. Breast tissue type determines appropriate use of 3D imaging. (Tissue type is determined by radiologist analysis of images, so yes, every baseline exam could appropriately be done as 3D, to determine tissue type for subsequent studies).
