So sad that it got so damaged, but they are putting extensive effort to restore and protect it. A Catholic icon!

We were there last year, and only took photos on the outside. It was still fully fence due to the restoration. I was still happy to finally see it, coming all the way from Australia.

It just happened to catch fire at the same time Muslims were burning down over 160 churches in an effort to destroy Christianity. Go back to sleep, folks. Nothing to see here.

I remember images circulating of Arab-looking guys with gas cans walking up high on the Church, just prior to the fire.
