Her gymnastic feats AND her incredibly outgoing personality made her the darling of the Olympics. Mary Lou Retton came close to drawing in fans, but it was Olga who mesmerized. She is also legitimately credited with easing relations with between the Soviet Union and the US after a visit to the White House. Not reportedly, she DOES have a gymnastics school.
