Tenerife belongs to which chain of islands?

Cha Cha, I went there in 1990!! Don't remember much about the beaches. I remember the volcano though.

luckycatfay, The beach I mentioned looks like white sand from a distance, but is definitely not sand at all. The rest of the beaches on the Island were all jet black volcanic sand, it was just that one beach that had man made look-alike sand

I went to Tenerife in 1991 when all the beaches had black sand apart from one in the main resort.... it was a man-made sand, close up it looked like tiny round plastic balls, quite strange
