Chuckles, Horsemeat is sold and served in some restaurants in Europe, Africa and other areas of the world. Just because North America turns its nose up doesn't mean it's an illegal act. Seriously, some people should get out more.

steak tartare is safe because beef is only vulnerable to surface contamination, and the method involved in preparing the dish, tenderising and marinading it, is as good as cooking.
