A pet peeve of mine is when actors try to speak with a Southern drawl. It's almost always over the top and just sad. So it's refreshing when real southern people, like Reese Witherspoon and Joanne Woodward, get their drawl on in the movies. Joanne Woodward was from Georgia, and had the most beautiful drawl I've heard. BTW: linguists have determined that early Americans spoke English in much the same way it is spoken today in the American South.
